March corn ended the day down 3¼¢ at $4.36½ per bushel.


January soybeans closed down 9¢ at $10.62¾ per bushel.


March CBOT wheat closed down 11¼¢ at $5.09½ per bushel. March Kansas City wheat was down 7¢ at $5.05 per bushel. March Minneapolis wheat was down 3¾¢ at $5.65¼.


“Corn futures moved lower on Tuesday, weighed down by heavy selling in the wheat and soybean markets,” said the Grain Market Insider newsletter by Stewart-Peterson Inc.


Concerning soybeans, the newsletter noted: “Soybeans closed lower for a third straight session as fund selling persisted, with March futures filling the $10.76 gap and extending losses beyond that level.”


Regarding wheat, the newsletter said: “Wheat closed moderately lower, pressured by Paris milling wheat futures making new lows and spillover weakness from the corn and soybean markets.”


March feeder cattle ended the day up $2.75 at $337.60 per hundredweight (cwt). February live cattle closed up 15¢ at $230.70 per cwt. February lean hogs were up 93¢ at $84.78 per cwt.
